Strokes: A Study says its not just for Old Folks anymore!

 Anarticletitled ‘Strokes rising among teens, young adults’ by Marilynn Marchione was published in Februarys’www.azcentral.com. It highlights alarming new studies that show an increase in the number of strokes experienced by young and middle-aged people in the United States.  Data was compared from 1994 and 1995 with data in 2006 and 2007.  The sharpest increase in stroke (51%) was found in men age 15 to 34.  Women in the same age group experienced a 17% increase in stroke.
