Symptoms of Crohn's Disease

There are numerous symptoms that appear as a result of Crohn's Disease. Many people live with these symptoms for years and are not even aware of them. Traditional onset of symptoms occurs between the ages of 15 to 30, but can occur at any time. The symptoms are of three different types: gastrointestinal, systemic, and extraintestinal. The most obvious gastrointestinal symptom is abdominal pain. It is usually accompanied by diarrhea. In severe cases, an individual may defecate more than twenty times a day and the feces consistency will range from solid to watery.

Perianal discomfort is also a prominent gastrointestinal symptom of the disease which includes itchiness or pain around the anus, anal fissure, or fistulization or abscess around the anus.  Systemic symptoms of the disease include high fevers, weight loss, or loss of appetite. In children, the disease can cause an inability to maintain growth.

Extraintestinal symptoms are ones that affect other organs in the body. Inflammation of the eye is a common extraintestinal symptom. The uveitis, the inner portion of the eye, inflames and can cause pain and sensitivity to light. Seronagative spondyloarthropathy is an inflammation of one or more joints or muscle insertions.

The disease can also affect blood, skin, and the endocrine system. One form of skin manifestation is called erythema nodosum in which red nodules appear on the skin. Pyoderma gangrenosum is characterized by a painful ulcerating nodule. The disease can also increase the risk of blood clots, and can cause difficulty breathing. Neurological complications can also be caused by the disease such as seizure, stroke, depression, myopathy and peripheral neuropathy. If you or any of your loved ones are showing these symptoms, they may be living with crohn's disease. I provide a Free Consultation and can recommend the next steps to reduce the discomfort from the symptoms of Crohn's Disease.

Treatment Solutions for Crohn's Disease

I started the Ashley Chiropractic Wellness Center based on providing you with highly personalized care and treatment, for the entire duration of your therapy.  I use the following treatments for improved wellness, which may be directly related to treating the symptoms you are suffering from:

*     Chiropractic Adjustments by manual or activator techniques may be used to help relieve your nervous system of nervous system interference, which causes multiple symptoms dependent on where your nerves are being affected. If your nervous system can not communicate with your body, it simply can't take care of you optimally.
*       Nutrition Response Testing may be used to help heal the body from within. It is a healing and preventative treatment that contributes to overall feelings of wellness and restores your energy by properly fueling the organs in your body.

I believe my experience and proven track record of success in providing relief from the symptoms of Crohn's Disease is a valid and effective remedy to reduce your discomfort.
